"Who Will Do What by When?" - A Simple Way to Hold Oneself And Others Accountable
Presented by Birgit Zacher Hanson
Coach, Author, Professional Speaker
Whether you are a coach or a manager, one of the biggest frustrations in today's world is "interpersonal ineffectiveness." All too often people spend time and energy determining what needs to be done and who should do it only to find out later that assigned tasks didn’t get done in a timely manner or didn’t get completed at all. Or, some people take "let me see what I can do" for an answer and are waiting forever for something that might never happen.
This lack of follow-through and accountability is costing companies greatly and as coaches we are often called in to help people who suffer, because they:
. Frequently hear excuses
. Are frustrated because people say one thing, but do another
. Feel powerless when certain individuals make promises and don’t follow through
. Struggle with how to “complain” in order to get what they want
. Would like others to take responsibility and get things done
Birgit will be answering questions related to accountability and share valuable tools and distinctions internal or external coaches can offer to their clients. Her Amazon bestselling book and program“Who Will Do What by When?” outlines how organizations can create a culture in which all leaders and employees:
. Use a simple language to enhance commitment and follow-through
. Make and honor requests
. Deliver legitimate complaints when promises are broken
. Transform whining and gossiping into problem-solving
Birgit Zacher Hanson, president of Heads-Up Performance Inc., prides herself in sharing simple insights people actually remember and implement right away. One of her core beliefs is that even the smallest behavioral change will have a huge impact over time. Why not start today?
Birgit is the co-author of Who Will Do What by When, a business fable on improving performance, accountability and trust with integrity. Her work brings humor and perspective to daily business interactions and reignite peoples’ commitment to communicate clearly and powerfully.
A banker by trade, Birgit holds an MS in Applied Behavioral Science from Johns Hopkins University and a coach certification from the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, CA. She is also a long-term student of Psychodrama and currently enrolled in Newfield’s CEO coaching program. She has 15 years of international corporate experience, including not-for-profit organizations.
